ABOUT
I am a visual artist and independent photographer. I specialize in fine-art and commercial photography.
In my fine-art and documentary work, I explore themes such as space and identity, collective memory and commemoration: how does a group build its identity through the use of natural and built space? how does one choose to document and curate his/her past? My first book " Montreal 375 ", released in 2016, is an elegant snapshot of Montreal for which I received the Canadian Printing Award for Best Hardcover Book of the year. "O", my second book released in 2018, comprises a unique body of work that transcends genres and styles to document Canada’s best and greatest landmarks. Both publications are available for purchase here - please check out the Books & Prints tab.
As a commercial photographer, I am comfortable with advertising projects that require artistry and rigor: products, portraiture, architecture, print or web… I enjoy collaborating with agencies or clients to promote a clear and elegant brand message. I like to develop emotional and visually-captivating concepts that tell a stimulating yet simple photographic story. I understand that commissioning is not fine-art and I enjoy working closely with clients to develop their vision and meet their needs.
I live and work in Toronto. I am available for photo assignments anywhere in Canada and North America.
